Open Thread: Broncos Initial Depth Chart

Here is the initial Broncos depth chart, per Cameron Wolfe. I will update this as I am able to, but feel free to discuss the depth chart.

Bear in mind that this is, by no means, finalized. There are four preseason games in which certain players have a chance to impress and nail down roster spots.

Which Teams Are Underrepresented And Overrepresented In The Pro Football Hall Of Fame?

If you’re a Denver Broncos fan, then the Pro Football Hall of Fame is likely a sore subject for you.  This is because you know that despite having the 9th best record in the NFL as long as they’ve existed, and the 2nd best since the merger, the Broncos have only four players of significance in the Hall of Fame.  In recent years, this hasn’t gotten any better.  Last year in particular was the mother of all gutshots: Jerome Bettis and his 3.9 yards per average career compilation was inducted over Terrell Davis–and to add insult to injury, a Chief, Charger, and Raider all got inducted at the same time.  This weekend, we will see another year in which Davis couldn’t get past the finalist round, and yet another Raider gets inducted.

So, as we approach Hall of Fame weekend, I figured it would be prudent to put this disrespect to the test: just how much more attention should the Broncos, and other teams, be getting from Canton?  And which teams have gotten too much attention? Watching Broncos Games: A Guide and Discussion

Back in May, @BobMoris wrote a really good post about the nature of live sports and network broadcasting, worth the read if you haven’t seen it yet. Well, yesterday the NFL announced it will offer the NFL Network and NFL RedZone to SlingTV subscribers (You have to love the photo The Verge used to accompany this article). This comes on the heals of a recent NFL partner$hip with Twitter and their continued partner$hip talks YouTube.

That being said,  if you are a Broncos fan who doesn’t live in Denver media market (as Bob and I both are), it is still not that easy to watch a live game broadcast without shelling out some serious dough. I mean, there is a reason the NFL is King three days a week from September to January. The same reason he’s always $miling.

After the fold, I’m going to walk you through the traditional thievery, I mean viewing options fans have for live broadcasts as well as open the thread to a discussion, where I hope you’ll share some of your own unique Denver Broncos game viewing experiences.   Continue reading Watching Broncos Games: A Guide and Discussion

Report from training camp Wednesday 8/3/16

I’ll post comments on this article with updates from Training Camp. If there is anything you want me to try and watch for let me know but I make no promises.  Take all of my comments with a grain of salt. I apologize in advance for typos since I’ll be on my phone and trying to comment quickly.  I’ll be heading to work afterwards so I probably won’t have time for much of a summary afterwards.  Go Broncos!
