Midweek Musings: Let’s Give ‘Em Something to Talk About

Just when you thought it was going to be a slow week for the NFL, along comes the report that the Broncos tried to trade Peyton Manning to the Texans.

We saw the initial tweets from Benjamin Allbright that were shared earlier, and the response from Mike Klis that the Broncos did approach Manning about taking a $10M pay cut. Then came Ian Rapoport, who tweeted that the Texans had called teams about their quarterback situations, and that was all they really did.

Ranking the Broncos: 70-61

Hello Broncos Fans!

Going into training camp, this Broncos team has a lot of new, unfamiliar faces on the roster. In order to help the average fan get acquainted with the layout of the roster, I am ranking the Broncos 90 man roster pre-training camp. Keep in mind, that IR players (ahem, Ryan Clady) will not be included on this list. If you have any disagreements with my rankings, let me know.

Earlier this month, I shared a Mile High Huddle all-22 film stufy of Bradley Roby. Well, Chad Jensen continued that series, this time examining Chris Harris Jr.

Rankings, Schmankings!

Last week, I had heard that Tony Romo was going to be the highest undrafted player ranked on the NFL’s Top 100 list.  This meant that, because he hadn’t been named yet, Chris Harris, Jr. would not be included on the list.  I thought briefly of making a post on this, and earlier today Leo delivered a cathartic rant on the subject.

But I decided not to make that post last week.  Why?  Because we should not stress out and pay as much attention to rankings as we do.
