Paxton Lynch: What Can Make Him Special?

Introduction

Paxton Lynch, almost becoming a Dallas Cowboy after Jerry Jones refused to relinquish his third, was the third most coveted QB in the draft behind Carson Wentz and Jared Goff. Paxton Lynch is known around the league before the draft as an unrefined product with a lot of potential, one of the nicest guys you will ever talk to, and a an athlete who struggles in interviews with a blackboard in the back. What cannot be denied though is his tremendous arm talent coupled with his athleticism which will make him special in the NFL if he does get there.

The NFL Body – Part 2: Body Fat Percentage

Prelude:

In a recent blog post for the Denver Post, Troy E. Renck is quoted as saying 2016 second round draft pick Adam Gotsis is currently 298 lbs with 10% body fat.  Perpetuation of this quote as fact led me to realize that few people have an understanding of body fat levels, what they look like, and how they apply to athletes.

Examining A Possible Von Miller Extension, May 2016 Edition

With the draft now over, the Broncos front office, like most of the NFL, will likely be eager to take a bit of a vacation as they approach the dead part of the NFL offseason. The Broncos Roster As It Currently Stands

Hello, Broncos fans! It’ll be quiet for a few days until the players report for their offseason workouts, but I figure it’s a good time to examine what the Broncos roster looks like at the moment and what to expect.

One thing to keep in mind as I go over the roster: This is where the Broncos fit for the time being, but that doesn’t mean that’s how the starting lineups will look for the first preseason game or how the final 53-man roster will take shape. We have seen many times before that a player who was on the roster bubble emerges and becomes a player who demands a roster spot. We have also seen projected starters wind up being cut when the roster is trimmed to 53.

I did include a few notes regarding each position and certain players. These are things to keep in mind as to what it will take for certain players to make the final roster, particularly how they will fit into the Broncos’ schemes.

(Note: I have included all the undrafted rookies I know about, but feel free to point out any of them I may have missed.)

Deflategate – Blowout Loss for Brady

The Backdrop

We all remember the basic facts of Deflategate. It started on January 18, 2015, when D’Qwell Jackson intercepted a pass thrown by Tom Brady during the AFC Championship game. After confirming that ball was under inflated, the officials discovered that all eleven of the Patriots game balls were also under inflated. Continue reading Deflategate – Blowout Loss for Brady
