A look at possible special teams contributors for the Broncos

In light of the moves today (particularly the Bibbs over Hillman move), I thought I’d take a stab at projecting who the Broncos special teams contributors might be this year.  I’ve never coached or played organized 11-11 football, so I’m probably not the most qualified to look into this niche topic.  But I’m armed with special teams snap counts from Pro Football Reference and going to give it a shot.

The Initial 53-Player Roster Of The 2016 Broncos Is Set

Per the team, the final list of cuts has resulted in the following 53-player roster.  Remember that as cuts are finalized leaguewide, there may be more roster churning ahead in the next day or two, in addition to the creation of the 2016 practice squad.

Broncos at Cardinals: The 10 Things I Liked and the 10 Things I Didn’t

Last night we witnessed what the quarterback of our future, Paxton Lynch, is capable of. We also witnessed why he isn’t our starting quarterback. He requires at least another full season to learn the system and all the parts of being a quarterback. A quarterback just doesn’t throw the ball; They have to read the defense and setup the offense to succeed. He is partially to blame for the poor play of the offensive line.

One person I’m not going to throw on the list of bad things is Punter Riley Dixon. After the game, head coach Kubiak stated that Dixon was requested to try some new techniques during the game. Here are the 10 things I liked and the the 10 things I didn’t:

Open Thread: Broncos And Other Roster Cuts

Use this thread to talk about the cuts the Denver Broncos and other teams make to get their rosters down to 53.

Every NFL team must trim its roster down to 53 players by Saturday, Sept. 3, at 2 p.m. Mountain (4 p.m. Eastern). Therefore, not all of the roster moves will be announced Friday.

I will try to keep this updated regarding the players the Broncos cut, along with the more notable cuts from elsewhere around the league.
