It’s not surprising the Broncos added a tight end. The Ferentz addition is a little surprising, as one would have thought the Broncos would claim an offensive tackle.

The regular season has yet to start and there’s already been a ridiculous amount of attrition in these regards–so much, in fact, that we can almost fill out an entire starting lineup each with only players on IR and then players on a suspension. Unfortunately, the overturning of Tom Brady’s suspension really hurt the cause of the All-Suspended team. I guess they can run a bunch of the Wildcat and the wishbone offense, then?
I wrote a more in-depth article at Over The Cap on the subject, but I’d thought I’d quickly deliver the newish developments for the Broncos. There’s one piece of each of good and bad news.

His time is over, then?
The Washington Post reports that NFL owners are planning to meet to discuss Roger Goodell’s role in player discipline.
Although it’s uncertain whether Goodell’s authority would be reduced, the decision to reevaluate his role resolving appeals is the first solid sign the outcome of Tom Brady’s court case could have a lasting and significant impact on his position.
“There will certainly be discussion about that,” one owner said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the topic. The owner said he is “not sure where it will lead.”
I would suspect any changes won’t be significant, but the fact the owners plan to meet about this indicates they see the whole ordeal with Tom Brady as an embarrassment.
Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank has said as much.
I am going to do a different format on this post. Since this is the final preseason game, a lot of players will be cut in the next day that may have played their last NFL game. Some will make the team and others may go off to another team. In this post, I want to focus on the players who were riding on the roster bubble with 10 players I think played well and 10 players that didn’t.
