WR Andre Holmes resigned with the Raiders.

– Since he is connected to Jim Schwartz over in Philadelphia, the Eagles are interested in DT Nick Fairley.

G J’Marcus Webb signed with the Seahawks from the Raiders.

DL Coach Karl Dunbar was absolutely shocked and surprised that he was fired from the Bills. If there are two things that are absolutely certain in the world of coaching no matter what sport you coach, they are the following: 1. Be prepared to get fired 2. The best way to secure your next job is to be great at the one you are at right now.

RB Chris Johnson could have a new contract as soon as next week per sources.

– Dr. Mitch Berger, head of the Head, Neck, and Spine Committee for the NFL informed the public that there was not a link between football and head trauma. Jeff Miller, Senior VP of health and safety for the NFL says that there is a link. Take a guess at which one is lying.

– In similar news, the NFL and the NFLPA are working together to reduce the power the commissioner has in the league. Which is probably because one of the NFL’s executives say that there is a link between head trauma and football.

– The Dallas Cowboys restructure T Tyron Smith’s deal in order to get more cap room for this year.

– The Jets have resigned TE Kellen Davis to  one-year contract.

– The Bears have resigned TE Zach Miller to a two-year deal worth $6 million.

DT BJ Raji stepped away from the NFL yesterday afternoon.

– Panthers resign DT Paul Soliai to a two year deal worth $7 million.
