Just in case this ends up in conversation today, I figured it would be prudent to catch it early in the morning and give it its own place. There should be no illusion that this is an inherently political thread, so if you’re uncomfortable with that, the best and easiest solution is to just not click on this thread. There is, however, one important issue on the ballot that does affect the NFL, and that is Measure C in San Diego that seeks to raise the hotel tax to fund a new stadium for the Chargers. So don’t say that this Election Day isn’t entirely unrelated to football–even if there are comically inept attempts to tie the two together.
