News

– OC Todd Haley of the Steelers still wants to keep 30 points per game as one of the offense’s main goals for next year. He also wanted to tell reporters that WR Sammie Coates has been turning it up this offseason.

– Jim Irsay says a future Andrew Luck deal is not imminent but, both sides want to get a deal done. Then he stated that he sees a deal getting done prior to training camp.

– The great Jim Brown told others that he expects great things from new HC Hue Jackson.

–  LB Deandre Levy encourages players to take a closer look into some alternatives for pain management.

– QB Tyrod Taylor feels that he has more of a command of the offense and knows the system a lot better than he did last year.

– The Cowboys re-iterated their caution towards players coming back with injuries by continuing to hold out/back QB Tony Romo and WR Dez Bryant.

– The Jets have kept QB Ryan Fitzpatrick’s locker open, albeit with no nameplate above it, while contract talks are still progressing.

– Aptly named WR Lucky Whitehead was advertised to be at the same club as Aqib Talib when he got shot and opted not to go the day of.

– The Bengals have signed RB Giovani Bernard to a three-year, $15.5 million deal.

– Rams DL Louis Trinca-Pasat tore his ACL and will be out for the season.

– The NFL banned players from wearing hoodies on the field but, didn’t consider banning this guy from wearing one. Also, assistant coaches are strictly prohibited from entering the field of play.

– TE Aaron Hernandez hires the lawyer who won the Casey Anthony case in order to pull some magic lawyer shenanigans to get out of prison.

– Pete Carroll says the current defensive backfield for the Seahawks could be the most flexible one as of yet.

– WR Michael Crabtree compared his QB Derek Carr to QB Brett Favre.

Analysis

– John Breitenbach argues that QB Russell Wilson is a Top-5 QB.

– Eric Eager analyzes how the S Harrison Smith deal will affect S Eric Berry’s future deal with the Chiefs.

– John Kosko wonders if Carolina can replace CB Josh Norman’s production so easily.

– Chase Stuart breaks down whether he thinks the Cardinals are in their “glory years”, or a period where a team is noticeably better then they performed in the past.

Broncos

– According to a Mike Florio source, because we all know how reliable those are, he suggests that the Broncos made a big offer to Von Miller just to get him too camp and then removed the offer from the table in order to reset the market. 

– Former Bronco G Manny Ramirez has retired from the NFL after his stint with the Bears.

– Von Miller unsurprisingly rejected the six-year deal worth $114.5 million with $40 million guaranteed the first two years. The talks between him and the Broncos have come to a stall. Just remember not to panic. Jeff Legowld adds that both sides will have to compromise in order to get the deal done.

– Mark Kiszla criticizes John Elway for trying to be too cheap with Von Miller. Elway should tell him the following.

– G Max Garcia told media that he learned how to lead an OL room from former G Louis Vasquez.

Shenanigans

– QB Johnny Manziel wants to play football again.

– QB Ryan Fitzpatrick had to rescue his kid from a tree.
