News

– WR Randall Cobb says he won’t wear an on-field microphone anymore after landing on one caused him to puncture his lung versus the Cardinals.

Robert Klemko interviewed Andy Abboud, VP for government relations and community development at Las Vegas Sands Corporation, billionaire Sheldon Adelson’s 28-year-old casino and resort company. Abboud told Klemko that the Raiders’ move to Vegas is all anyone is talking about down there.

– Jags GM Dave Caldwell, celebrated WR Allen Hurns four-year, $40 million extension with $20 million guaranteed because he was a homegrown player. As always, WR Allen Hurns says he still has to prove himself despite the deal.

– A parade of lawyers have chimed in to support QB Tom Brady on his Deflategate case.

– DC Teryl Austin, a head coaching candidate early last offseason told the media that only two of his four interviews for head coach were legitimate. When asked about whether it had anything to do with the Rooney Rule, he then stated, “Take it however you want.”

G Patrick Omameh signs with the Jags.

LB Lavonte David believes the Bucs will have the best defense to ever take the field.

– Jim Bob Cooter, OC for the Lions, has decided to change the terminology and structure in the offense from last year according to WR Golden Tate.

CB Damian Swann is being held out of Saint’s OTAs due to prior concussions.

– LB Lamarr Woodley is not shaken at all that no team has contacted him since last season.

– Browns TE Gary Barnidge has been sidelined with a sports hernia.

T Jake Long will visit the Bears today.

TE Joe Kruger worked out for the Lions.

– Jim Brown is upbeat on WR Josh Gordon after he had some deep conversations with him.

– The Steelers told media that the Ravens, not the Bengals, are still their top rival in the AFC North.

– The Falcons insisted that they won’t drop the ball regarding Vic Beasley’s pass-rushing abilities.

Analysis

– Rich Cimini argues the Jets can turn up the heat on unsigned QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and he will have no choice but to sign with them.

– Nathan Jahnke projects the records for every NFC team and the Cardinals take the top spot.

– Josh Liskiewitz asks if DE Malik McDowell is going to be this year’s DE Deforest Buckner.

Broncos

– Jeff Legwold has also bought into the QB Trevor Siemien hype and tells readers that he may be the QB for the Broncos this season.

– Here are some Broncos reacting to the NBA Finals series.

– John Elway is taking some time off of work to compete in the Colorado Senior Open where he advanced after shooting 3+.

Some young guys get some praise at the Broncos OTAs.

– Apparently, WR Cody Latimer was wearing a GoPro camera during a fight with his girlfriend, which is good news for him.
