Hello guys!
So, I have pondered and made the decision to do a podcast dedicated to the readers of this site. I will talk about happenings around the NFL and give you my humble opinion on those topics. I hope that in doing so I can keep in touch with you guys during my season since I will not have time to do the It’s All Orange, Fat Man after July/August. Preparing an audio takes 30 minutes while trying to prepare an It’s All Orange, Fat Man takes about an hour plus reading that I do beforehand. Anything that I can do to cut on time when I don’t have as much. I hope that most of my podcasts will range in between 15-20 minutes a piece.
I has also been a mini-dream to have my own radio show since I was 12. So, I will have accomplished this dream after posting the first edition of the It’s All Orange podcast. If it is something that sticks, we’ll keep going with it and if not, we’ll make a decision from there.
If you are concerned about my identity and whether or not I’ll be in trouble, I promise you that my coaches are too busy with recruiting and building playbooks to see what their student assistant is doing on the internet. In addition, this particular website is also being buried underneath 13 pages of google searches no matter what you type in. So I can assure you that I will be fine in that regard. Even if they do for some reason find out, then they will tell me to stop which means I will stop and then you won’t hear any more of me. Problem solved.
This means though that I won’t be able to talk about sensitive information regarding my team though as to not risk other opponents getting an advantage on us. God forbid if it ever comes to that.
Anyways, I feel really good about doing this. I felt this was a good first podcast to start out with. I know that this can only improve as the future goes along which I am also extremely excited about. All of the things that I know I have to work on can all be fixed with more practice in front of the mic which means everything is correctable. I hope this will help me become more articulate when I am communicating in everyday life.
The time frame of when I can do this will fluctuate a little bit as I find out what is comfortable for my schedule. I think I will do this in bi-weekly installments. And if at all possible, I hope to add guests into the podcast, with my albeit limited connections, so we can get some outside perspective on what is happening around the NFL.
The only obstacle that I know we are going to have to face is that people who are at work won’t be able to access it without headphones which means I might have to find a way to create a written transcript of everything said on the air. If there is a quick and easy way to do this, please let me know.
