Who Is The Top Five On Your 2018 Draft Board For The Broncos?

There’s been plenty of talk on who the Broncos should target with the 5th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Thus, I thought it would be prudent to set up a simple poll to gain insight on what direction the Broncos fanbase wants the team to go toward. Barring something unusual like an early trade, I plan to leave this open through Wednesday, and then will parse the results in articles for Thursday.

To make the data parsing easier, please try to use the full name of the player, spelled correctly. (For one obvious example, it’s “Quenton”, not “Quentin” or “Quinton”.) You are also encouraged, but not required, to post your top five in the comments of this article.

What Could 2019 Tell Us About The Broncos’ 2018 NFL Draft?

It’s generally believed that the modus operandi of John Elway is to fill as many immediate needs as possible in free agency, thus freeing up the Broncos to take a best player available approach to the draft. I do feel that Elway has pretty much accomplished the first goal, and that he’ll more or less stick to the second goal. However, I think it would be worth looking at where the Broncos’ roster could stand come the 2019 offseason. Despite being drafted two seasons ago, Cravens still has three years left on his rookie contract. This is because his contract was tolled due to being placed on the Redskins’ Reserve/Left Squad list for the entirety of the 2017 season. His salaries will be about $650,000 in 2018, $850,000 in 2019, and just a shade over $1 million in 2020.
