Happy Draft Day, Broncos fans! As promised, here again is your opportunity to enter a 1st round mock draft for the chance to win… still nothing, just like the last three years. Sorry I’m so late getting this up. Evolving priorities have limited my time and interest in my usual pre-draft work. Nevertheless, I thought it would be fun to do this again.

Broncos Draft Preview 2017, Part 4: Rounds 2 and 3
Good morning, Broncos fans! I’ll start this by acknowledging my disappointment with last night’s selection, Utah Offensive Tackle Garett Bolles. But while my initial reaction was indeed negative like many of yours, a good night’s sleep always helps bring some perspective. First, I’d like to say that while Bolles was not a prospect I feel was worthy of the 20th pick, he is likely going to be better than Ty Sambailo and Donald Stephenson, if he isn’t already. The Broncos had a gaping hole to fill, and they addressed it. I think they would have been much better served to trade down and take their chances, but they clearly felt Bolles was significantly better than the other top options, Wisconsin’s Ryan Ramczyk (who went 32nd to the Saints) and Alabama’s Cam Robinson, who has yet to be selected.

Broncos Draft Preview 2017, Part 3: The 1st Round
Hello, Broncos fans! Today’s the big day. Well, the first of three big days, really, and frankly this year I’m looking forward to Day 2 more than Day 1. The discussion regarding who they’ll select tonight has been going on for months now, and “at the end of the day” (that’s me doing my best Mayock) none of us know much about how they’re going to use it. Like most teams the Broncos head into tonight with a single pick, and the pressure is on to make it count. In reality, though, the draft is so much more than just the first round. Nevertheless, tonight’s decision is an important one, so if you haven’t reached complete speculation saturation allow me to walk you through what Elway and company might be thinking.

Broncos Draft Preview 2017, Part 2: Defensive Roster and Needs Analysis
Yesterday we looked at the Broncos’ roster on the offensive side of the ball, and characterized their needs accordingly. Today we’ll dive into the defensive side of things, where Denver still has plenty of elite talent. There’s always room for improvement, though, and the Broncos have to be careful not to let their strength erode by failing to address current needs or to plan for needs that will no doubt arise next year and beyond.

Broncos Draft Preview 2017, Part 1: Offensive Roster and Needs Analysis
This year more than ever the Thin Air community has fleshed out numerous possibilities regarding the Broncos’ approach to the 2017 NFL Draft. I’ve shared quite a few opinions myself in the daily threads so you may have already read, in a more abbreviated form, much of what I will write in this year’s Draft Preview. Still, I’m excited as usual to share it with you all. As in years past we’ll start with a deep dive into the roster to identify and characterize the Broncos’ needs.

Top 10 (or so) Draft Prospects By Position
With several celebrity draftniks updating their rankings recently, I thought some readers might be interested in taking a peek at what my composite rankings currently look like. For this particular exercise, I’ll be including only positions that would fill needs I’ve identified for the Broncos.
To lighten things up, I’ll be sticking with the theme established in today’s Orange Overview with Bob’s Beastie Boys joke. So let’s get it together.

Hello again, Broncos fans! Week 1 Preview: Panthers at Broncos, Part Deux
Earlier I posted my thoughts on the Broncos’ offense vs. the Panthers’ defense in anticipation of tomorrow night’s game. Now it’s time to take a look at what to expect when Carolina has the ball, as well as a brief thought about special teams. Just like in the first installment we’ll look at personnel, key matchups and schemes for both squads. Let’s get to it.
