Per Aaron Wilson:
Jackson’s contract table can be seen beyond the fold:
Year | Base Salary | Prorated Bonus | Cap Number | Dead Money | Cap Savings |
2019 | $3,000,000 | $3,000,000 | $6,000,000 | $23,000,000 | ($17,000,000) |
2020 | $11,000,000 | $3,000,000 | $14,000,000 | $17,000,000 | ($3,000,000) |
2021 | $10,000,000 | $3,000,000 | $13,000,000 | $3,000,000 | $10,000,000 |
italics – fully guaranteed money
This is a firm two year commitment by the Broncos to Jackson, as all money in his first two years (a total of $23 million) is fully guaranteed. The 2021, of course, has the customary option year for compensatory pick formula manipulation.
Jackson’s cap number for 2019 is very reasonable at $6 million, and will not preclude the Broncos from making other moves in free agency, or from extending players of their own.
