One Giant has chance to be No. 3 receiver after flopping in Denver

    https://nypost.com/2018/06/08/one-giant-has-chance-to-be-no-3-receiver-after-flopping-in-denver/

Latimer was endorsed by Tyke Tolbert, the Giants’ new receivers coach, who worked with Latimer in Denver.

    • Carsonic

I’ll be happy for the guy if he finally succeeds, but also kinda ticked off.

      • Jason

I’d be happy for him too, but yes it would suck to see him finally blossom somewhere else. I don’t see it happening personally.

The comments from Tolbert are interesting, given the comments from Sanders the other day about being pushed.

      • Steven_Searls

I don’t think he’ll ever be a great receiver, but with OBJ and Engram and Shepherd, Latimer at 3 will get favorable matchups. Having a vet QB won;t hurt either.

        • T. Jensen

I’d be curious to hear what Peyton tells Eli about Latimer.

I really hope our RBs can be a consistent offensive force. I think the potential is there, but Booker really has to pull a Moreno and finally show us why he was drafted. And then Freeman and/or Henderson have got to be reliable spark plugs too. I believe it’s possible, but ya just never know.

      • Jason

So many things factor in here, I’m still very bullish on Booker.

        • Carsonic

I hope you’re right. And Moreno really did teach me that some guys just take a while for things to click. Hopefully it will happen for Booker sooner than later.

          • Jason

I could simply be naively optimistic too 🙂

        • Steven_Searls

Frankly I’m hoping Freeman is the second coming of TD. Better chance of that, I believe, than Booker ever being more than a spot starter/3rd down option.

Must be because of his respect for family values and his outstanding morals. 🙄

          • Jason

It is the epitome of irony anyone I would support DJT on the basis of religious principles. I find him to be the complete antithesis of anything Jesus professed to be true and important.

          • DCJ1

Evangelical Christianity no longer has anything to do with Jesus did or did not say. Instead it is all about fooling you followers (and yourself) that you need them to buy you a new jet. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/acts-of-faith/wp/2018/05/29/a-televangelist-wants-his-followers-to-pay-for-a-54-million-private-jet-its-his-fourth-plane/?noredirect=on

          • Jason

There is a night and day difference between being a “Christian“ and being a true follower of Jesus. I agree with you 100% .

          • bradley

A Buddhist once said: “See Christ. Then you are a Christian. All else is talk.”

          • BlackKnigh

The difference between a Jesus Christian and a Fox News Christian maybe….

        • Jason

I sometimes wonder if this approval rating is truly reflective of peoples thoughts on DJT, or is part of it an artifact of their dislike for Hillary Clinton?

The Democratic Party is sorely lacking in people that can relate to blue-collar, somewhat rural Americans. I would certainly like to see John Tester become a more prominent face of the Democratic Party.

          • Drewredux

Hillary is so old news. She is just cover for latent bigotry and misogyny emboldened.

          • Jason

Sorry Drew, but I think if you label Hillary as old news you are missing a significant reason why Trump is an office in the first place. I couldn’t tell you the number of times where I pointed out to someone what an insufferable fool he is and the immediate reply I get is “would you rather have Hillary?”

          • Drewredux

I know people like to use Hillary as a cop out; as if there is some sort of moral relativism. It’s lazy and willfully naive, IMO.

In fact, I find it quite demoralizing that any discussion of DTJ’s fitness always devolves to “Hillary is a bigger boogersnot!!”

It’s embarrassing to see my country behave like a bunch of moronic, agreived sheeple…and that a baffionish cartoon character is the ringmaster of it all.

          • Yahmule

They use Hillary as a cop out, the same way they used religion, love for children and patriotism as a cop out. Trump befouls all three daily and they cling to their story.

          • Jason

I agree with you 100% Drew. I view it as a cop out also, but it’s also a reality and one that people shouldn’t ignore and less they want history to repeat itself.

          • ohiobronco

I’m sorry but the “but Hillary” thing is a bullshit excuse. Anyone who didn’t vote for Clinton had a hand in putting an extremely dangerous and destructive madman in charge of our country. Why? Because a generally qualified and sane candidate has a grating personality and can’t connect with the common man? Not fucking good enough.

          • Jason

And that’s the amazing intrigue of how perceptions and biases work. Trump was able to market himself to enough of the populace that they supported him. A lot of people don’t view HRC as a viable candidate in any way. She’s absolutely despised in much of the flyover part of the US.

Is it all warranted? Probably not. But enough the voters are so disenfranchised with the status quo they view an unqualified self promoter as a more viable President. To quote Obama, “elections have consequences.”

          • Yahmule

Yes, what Trump and his white supremacist goons are doing in our name is just downright hee-larious.

          • Jason

What’s ironic is your statements don’t sound all that different from those emanaftom the GOP. Insert different names and news channels.

          • Yahmule

          • BlackKnigh

Jon Tester was the Senate leader when he was in the Montana state senate. He has the experience. Whether he wants the BS that comes with it – who knows. Him taking on Trump’s doctor was outstanding. He did not want to see all the progress done for the vets be set aside by the nincompoop.

          • Jason

Tester is one of the few politicians I’ll flat out say I was proud I voted for him. He gets good stuff done.

        • DCJ1

Don’t worry too much about the 86% from an unidentified poll chosen to back up Mitt Romney’s polishing of his crystal balls. Polls vary greatly in their accuracy, and lots are out there due to political concerns. Look at https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/ to get a better feel for non-partisan polling analysis.

I’m going to worry right up until somebody else is inaugurated. Even then, it’s going to be hard to forget that this gas-lighting megalomaniac sustains a hard 40%.

  • BroncRob

Just curious…why do you guys wanna bring up politics on a bronco blog? Why do you do it? I just gotta say it blows! There are millions of Trump supporters that love what he is doing for ALL people! Come on man, what the hell did Obama ever do? Well, unless of course you consider he sat back and allowed s nice young man named Otto to be murdered by the N. Korean government when in fact Trump negotiated the release of 3 Americans Judy a few months ago. Or maybe when Obama allowed Iran to access American bank accounts, is that something that Obama did that was great? Right now the economy in America is booming, its citizens never have felt safer, Trump has set up a summit with the tyrannical head from North Korea to negotiate a peace settlement and all You people want to do is bash the man. To boot on a bronco blog website no less. Just so you know I have a been a Bronco fan since 1970, yes 1970! I may not be good at writing paragraphs and that sort of thing, but you know what I love, I love America, I love and support my family, love to volunteer to cook for the homeless, love the Broncos dearly and most of all I am believer in God and Trump! Guess what that doesn’t make me a bad person! The point is that, I love following this site, the football takes are great and intrigue me greatly! I am an intelligent Bronco fan, know all the history but can we just keep this blog to football and please keep the politics out of it! Please, I would love to continue on this site and love it!

    • VonSwenson

I hope you stay away from this site. I disagree with everything you stand for. You make me like the Raiders.

      • BroncRob

Just because you don’t believe what I believe in, you want me to say away from this site. Listen to yourself. You need help! I am a season ticket holder for the Broncos, and guess what there are thousands of great great people just like me that love and support the Broncos and Trump! I am curious, what the heck do you do to help people? Do you volunteer your time in order to help society? Do you believe in a loving God? I bet not, seeing that you don’t believe in what I believe in! Go Broncos!

        • VonSwenson

I defecate into your mother’s ear.

          • BroncRob

That is what’s great about the internet, you can assasinatr a man and not have your head bashed in! Not surprising, coming from liberal trash like you. Look man, you missed the whole point I was making and instead chose to go after my mother! You need help and please please agree to meet me.
As for the other libtard I am not a troll. I work and support my family! I bet you only get out of your mothers basement 2 times a week! Go Broncos!

          • VonSwenson

Haha. You should try Mile High Report. Good discussions, not political.

Actually, sorry. I’m ashamed at being such a dick in my responses. It’s been a trying day. But I don’t want to meet you.

          • Drewredux

He has been a Broncos fan since ‘70! That puts him well outside his fighting prime! He is either a serious bad ass! or something! Tread cautiously!

He is at least mid 50’s! and still using “tard” and mom’s basement references! He should be! Taken seriously!

            I’m just sayin!

          • Prater2Beadles4Six

I love that literally the only thing he has contributed to any discussion on this board is bitching about other people’s politics, and he thinks anyone would be swayed by his little “come on guys, stick to sports or I may need to go lurk somewhere else” tantrum.

          • The 5th Amigo

I think he is a Russian troll

      • Hercules_Rockefeller

This guy’s just trollin’. Nobody really believes this shit

    • G Mik

I love that we do more than talk sports on this site. And while you are welcome to your opinions and to be a conservative, you are also in denial and if you continue to come to this site I hope you will see that. We are not more safe and our intelligence community has been minimized globally thanks to our POTUS, our economy is doing well now (funny how you didn’t credit Obama for taking us out of the abyss) but Trump is doing everything necessary to ensure we have problems down the road, and aside from being an awful human being clearly is Putin’s puppet. I mean have you paid attention to anything? The G-7 Summit esseontally crapping on our allies and trying to get Russia back in? Dude wake the hell up.

    • TiredOfWinning

The America that you experience is not the America we all experience. Even though many us criticize our president, we still love our country. Many of us feel its our patriotic duty to decry what appears to be nationalistic, totalitarian, and even fascist tendencies and words that seem to come from the President. I hope you continue to visit here, and even contribute. But I also hope that you see by our need to post on politics, that not everyone experiences this country as you are fortunate to. And to the extent you don’t like it, simply ignore it, telling people to shut up (and that’s what your post amounts to)–well, that’s not very American or very polite.

    • DCJ1

The wonderful thing about this site is that the participants are generally educated and willing to discuss anything in a (mostly) civil manner. Especially in the off-season, we choose to talk about a lot of different topics when there isn’t much going on football-wise. One day we can have a discussion of politics, another day we’re posting pictures of our dogs. Anyone is free to skip any part you don’t wish to read, or to block any user you don’t like. But you probably shouldn’t come in and attempt to censor our discussions because they offend your sensibilities.

People here think and post freely. Yes, freely. It’s a free country. You’re free to believe what you want. You’re also free to frequent sports sites that don’t have people who like to discuss politics, music, and a host of other topics. Most of us like the site the way it is, and if that offends you then you free to leave. What you’re not free to do is insist that something be changed because it offends your snowflake sensibilities, to insist that you need a safe space where people won’t post items that challenge your narrowly confined perceptions garnered from the Fox News echo chamber.

I am actually curious where you were the other when we were discussing out top ten albums — that was a huge thread having nothing to do with the Broncos, yet you weren’t there saying “hey guys, let’s not talk about music. Let’s only talk about Broncos.” No, the only time you seem to show up is during a political discussion where your hero and savior Donald Trump is the centerpiece. I’d like to think that you’re honest, and not really trolling, but it does look bad.

In any case, as others have suggested, you might be happier at MHR or or a host of other Broncos sites. Those sites might actually care that you’re a season ticket holder. But if you keep trying to censor our discussion on a site that you have done nothing to build, then you better get used to people telling you to fuck off.

BTW: Pursuant to your point that “citizens never have felt safer”, you should amend it to read “white, ultra-conservative citizens never have felt safer”. Ask the black man who was arrested for trying to order a coffee, or the black girl who was reported to the police for accidentally falling asleep in her dorm library while studying. I’m pretty sure they don’t feel safer. And I certainly have little optimism about the immediate future right now. Even The Economist, that bastion of international conservatism, is aghast at the wrecking ball that Trump is swinging through the world.

    • Drewredux

      Huh.

    • gnasses

Post something intelligent about the Broncos. Just once. The whining is just pathetic.

There’s a mute feature and a block feature here for your use to maintain your ideological bubble if thst’s what you need, man. Truly strong folks can take dissenting opinions.
