Brads NFL Picks Week Six 2016

Brads NFL Picks  Week Six  2016
Brads Picks was  9-5  last week, and is 44 – 33 on the season  Here’s the g, b and u from last week:

the good:

Cardinals 33, San Francisco 21 (TNF)  –  9ers turned the ball over twice on Blaine Gabbert INTs (one was deflected) while the Cards had no turnovers.  Kind of fun for Gabbert – when the crowd started chanting “We want Kap” Gabbert responded with an 82 yard TD drive.

Titans 30, Miami 17  –  Marcus Mariota threw 3 TDs and no INTs.  Ryan Tannehill  threw 2 INTs and no TDs.  Titans had twice the yards that Miami had.

Pittsburgh 31, Jets 13  –  It was 14-13 at the half.  Ryan Fitzpatrick didn’t throw any INTs.

Minnesota 31, Texans 13  –  Vikings didn’t need it but Marcus Shereis returned a punt 79 yards for a TD.  Brock Osweiler had a very bad day, going 19/42/184 with 1 INT plus a late TD.  And 4 sacks,  Sam Bradford threw 2 TDs with no INTs.

Cheatriots 33, Cleveland 13  –  Brady The Cheater was back after his 4 game suspension for cheating.  He threw for 406 yards and three TDs.

Indianapolis 29,  Bears 23  –  Colts stepped up the pace a bit and got their first half time lead of the season (16-10).  Second half was a tie (but you knew that).

Oakland 34, Chargers 31  –  Chargers tried a 36 yard FG to tie the game late in the 4th but the holder flotched the snap.

Dallas 28, Bengals 14  –  It was 28-0 at the end of the 3rd.  Cowboys rookie RB Ezekiel Elliott ran for 134 on 15 and had two TDs.

Green Bay 23, Giants 16 (SNF)  –  17-6 at the half.  Not a bad showing for the Giants, who played at Minnesota the Monday night before.  Especially considering the Packers had the week off.

the bad:

Reds 16, Baltimore 10  –  Baltimore scored a TD on it’s opening drive but then the Reds D took over.  Reds did get a little luck when, backed up at their three a Kirk Cousins pass was intercepted by C.J. Moseley.  But he lost the ball while reaching for the end zone.  Result was a touchback for the Reds.

Detroit 24, Eagles 23  –  Matt Stafford had 3 TDs and 0 Ints.  Carson Wentz had 3 TDs and one INT.  Score was Detroit 21, Eagles 20 at the end of the third.

Falcons 23, Denver 16  –  It wasn’t that close – Broncos scored ten in the 4th, with their only TD coming with 2:38 left in the game.  Rookie QB Paxton Lynch was pretty bad but the blame is on the entire team and the coaches.  (Broncos kickers did good.)  And give some credit to the Falcons who were ready to play the game.

Buccaneers 17, Carolina 14  (MNF)  –  Bucs got a 38 yard FG as time expired to win the game.  Carolina turned the ball over 4 times, three by Derek Anderson who was in for Cam Newton, out with a concussion.

the ugly:

Bills 30, Los Angeles 19  –  Bills fired their OC Greg Roman three weeks ago when they were 0-2.  Now they’re 3-2.  Tyrod Taylor threw 2 TDs and no INTs for the Bills.  Case Keenum threw 2 INTs and no TDs for the Rams.

this week: (off this week – Minnesota and Tampa Bay):

The TNF game:

Denver (4-1) at San Diego (1-4)  –  Division game:  Denver HC Gary Kubiak was taken to the hospital after the Falcons game with “flu like symptoms”.  After an over night stay he was released and sent home, diagnosed with complex migraine syndrome.  He’ll be replaced this week by Special Teams coach Joe DeCamillis as Kubiak takes the week off.  I don’t think this will affect the outcome.
Chargers have been losing games in spectacular fashion in the 4th quarter – fumbles, a botched hold on a FG attempt, and so on.  I expect a good game with some theatrics.  I also expect the Broncos will win.
Warning – this is the NFLs ridiculous Color Rush game, so the Broncos will be in all Orange and the Chargers in all Blue.  Wear your shades.

the 11:00 games:

San Francisco (1-4)  at Buffalo (3-2)  –  Colin Kaepernick will start at QB for the 49ers.Buffalo will win their 4th in a row.

Jacksonville (1-3)  at Chicago (1-4)  –   Jags were off last week after their win in London over the Colts.  Their expensive D is starting to get it together.

Los Angeles (3-2) at Detroit (2-3)  –  Matt Stafford is playing pretty good at QB for Detroit.  This should be a good game bit I’ll take Detroit.  Rams may be looking ahead to next week in London.

Pittsburgh (4-1) at Miami (1-4)  –  Miami is pretty dysfunctional – they just released two starting offensive linemen.  Steelers are one of the best teams in the AFC.

Cincinnati (2-3) at New England (4-1)  –  This will be a tough game, and I hope they beat the snot out of each other.  But my money (the entire nickel) is on the Cheatriots.

Carolina (1-4) at New Orleans (1-3)  –  Division game.  Saints had a bye last week.  Most pundits are taking the Panthers but this pundit is taking the Saints in their home dome.  Panthers are in free fall.

Baltimore (3-2) at New York Giants (2-3)  –  Ravens fired OC Marc Trestman after the loss to the Reds, and replaced him with Marty Mornhinweg, who had been serving as the QB coach.  If that transition is smooth enough, the Ravens might be able to win.  Giants have to be tired after two road trips, to Minnesota on MNF, then Green Bay 6 days later.

Cleveland (0-5) at Tennessee (2-3)  –  Titans seem to be getting it together.

Philadelphia (3-1) at Washington (3-2)  –  Division game.  Washington ahs won three straight, albeit not by a lot. But I’m taking the Eagles, despite it being their second road trip in two weeks.

the 2:05 MDT game:

Kansas City (2-2) at Oakland (4-1)  –  Division game.  KC was off last week.  Andy Reids teams (Eagles and Chiefs) are 15-2 coming off a bye.  So take the Chiefs.  Their offense isn’t very good, but the Raiders defense is pretty bad.

the 2:25 MDT games:

Dallas (4-1) at Green Bay (3-1)  –  Green Bay had trouble with the Giants at Lambeau last Sunday, even though the Giants had played the Monday night before at Minnesota.  Aaron Rodgers sometimes makes plays like Aaron Rodgers; often he doesn’t.  I’m taking Dallas and Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.

Atlanta (4-1) at Seattle (3-1)  –  Two good NFC teams but Atlanta had to play at Mile High last week.  Seattle was off last week.

the SNF game:

Indianapolis (2-3) at Houston (3-2)  –  Division game. Two not very good teams butHouston is 3-0 at home.

the MNF game:

New York Jets (1-4)  at Arizona (2-3)  –  I don’t know if Carson Palmer will play or not (concussion).  His back up, Drew Stanton, was good enough last week to get a 12 point win at San Francisco.  That was on TNF so the Cards have had a couple extra days to get ready.  Meanwhile, the Jets got pasted in Pittsburgh on Sunday.  Take Arizona
