I’ve put together a few tweets from various Denver Broncos beat reporters who talked to John Elway during an NFL combine presser about the team’s approach to the offseason. They are after the jump and have comments from me about what they really mean.
Elway said he met with Peyton Manning a couple nights ago. "He needs some more time."

Elway further said he intends to meet with Peyton again in a week or two to see where he is at. Keep in mind that the Broncos must make a decision by March 9, before Peyton’s 2016 salary becomes fully guaranteed.
Elway: "We're really not in a hurry. Brock knows what we have to offer and we still have a great deal of interest in Brock."

I imagine the Broncos and Brock’s agent have exchanged proposals regarding a new contract.
More Elway on Von: "We feel good about it. We're very hopeful we'll be able to get something done."

Early indications are that Von and his agent are having pleasant exchanges, but we’ll see if it leads to an extension before the franchise tag deadline.
Elway said wants Ware back. Ware and Clady share agent. Will talk to him Friday about their situations/contracts

Obviously, Ware and Clady would have to get their 2016 cap numbers reduced if they are going to stay with the Broncos.
Elway on RBs: "C.J. had a good year. Ronnie Hillman will be a free agent, so we'll see what happens with Ronnie."
— Nicki Jhabvala (@NickiJhabvala) February 25, 2016
Translation: Ronnie Hillman is not likely to be with the Broncos next season.
#Broncos Elway said Trevathan will test the market. Team focusing on Von, Malik and Brock. Would still like Trevathan back.
— Troy Renck (@TroyRenck) February 25, 2016
I suspect Trevathan will find plenty of interest in the open market, so expect him to be moving on.
#Broncos Elway also said would let free agent Vernon Davis find his value on the market. "But that's not to say we don't want him back."
— Troy Renck (@TroyRenck) February 25, 2016
Translation: Unless Davis is willing to take a very low-cost deal, he won’t return to the Broncos.
