Ravens at Broncos: The 10 Things I Liked and the 10 Things I Didn’t

It’s finally here! The season has started and so has the Kubiak era with a win. It wasn’t a strong game, but no one should expect one with a whole new scheme implemented on both offense and defense. The game went as well as we could expect with as many changes as we’ve had over the offseason. A bumpy start, to say the least, but a win is a win. And, in no particular order:

10 Things I Liked:

  1. The pass rush was ruthless
  2. A pick-6 (when was the last time we had one of these?)
  3. Only 6 Ravens’ offense points allowed
  4. Running game picked up in the 4th quarter
  5. Ball possession
  6. McManus nailed everything
  7. Stewart/Bruton played great all game
  8. Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware are back in full form
  9. Stopping plays behind the line of scrimmage
  10. Oakland got crushed by Cincinnati

10 Things I Didn’t:

  1. No offensive touchdowns
  2. Poor offensive line play
  3. Lack of third down conversions
  4. False start penalties
  5. We had a pick-6
  6. Blocking on outside runs and screens was awful
  7. Running back inability to pick up blitzes
  8. Boot-leg plays struggled
  9. Made it in the red-zone once
  10. We face Kansas just 4 days after
