All of the media discussions were focused on Adrian Peterson and his god-like ability to run and whether or not the Broncos defense could stop him. No one discussed other factors such as Teddy Bridgewater, who played well, or the Broncos offense. We discovered a few things throughout the game that are highlighted below:
10 Things I Liked:
- We slowed Adrian Peterson to under 100 yards
- We eventually established a run game
- Schofield did a good job filling in RT
- Four games ending with a defensive turnover
- TJ Ward was everywhere on the field
- This is the right defense for Sly Williams
- Seven sacks
- Much less penalties
- Trick plays didn’t fool our defense
- McManus is doing awesome since his improvement
10 Things I Didn’t Like:
- One defensive turnover
- Two offensive interceptions
- We couldn’t stop WR Mike Wallace or WR Diggs
- Ball possession
- LT Ryan Harris kept getting burned
- I keep seeing helmet-to-helmet hits on our Broncos with no calls. Refs have to catch this.
- Peterson’s explosive play could’ve been avoided with proper gap filling
- It took 3 quarters to establish a decent run game
- Teddy Bridgewater had 65.9% pass completion rate
- Our offense needs to start games stronger
