The final cuts took place today just before the deadline:

— Denver Broncos (@Broncos) September 1, 2015
Here is a table of everyone that was cut, waived, or put on IR:
TERMINATED / VESTED VETERAN |
|||
POSITION | PLAYER | EXP. | COLLEGE |
ILB | Reggie Walker | 7 | Kansas State |
INJURED RESERVE |
|||
POSITION | PLAYER | EXP. | COLLEGE |
TE | Jeff Heuerman | R | Ohio State |
WAIVED |
|||
POSITION | PLAYER | EXP. | COLLEGE |
G | Andre Davis | R | Buffalo |
OLB | Chase Vaughn | 1 | CSU-Pueblo |
TE | Dan Light | R | Fordham |
OLB | Danny Mason | R | Texas A&M-Commerce |
TE | Jake Murphy | 1 | Utah |
RB | Jeremy Stewart | 4 | Stanford |
TE/FB | Joe Don Duncan | R | Dixie State |
WR | Nathan Palmer | 2 | Nothern Illinois |
S | Ross Madison | 1 | Toledo |
P | Spencer Lanning | 3 | South Carolina |
CB | Tevrin Brandon | R | Monmouth |
QB | Zac Dysert | 2 | Miami (Ohio) |
None of these were a surprise outside of Dan Light, who was signed after waiving Solomon Patton. As much as I wanted Joe Don Duncan to make the team, we have a lot of Tight End depth and Casey has sealed the FB/TE position. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if he is later signed to the practice squad.
The next and final round of cuts must happen before 4 PM EST this Saturday, September 5th. Our game on Thursday will determine who will remain on the final roster. This includes the battle between Montee Ball and Kapri Bibbs.
